Free Spirit's second music video collaboration with "Envy and Other Sins" utilised the unique visual results of Steadicam. The band wanted a nostalgic "old summer-time" video that would work with the track.

The video was shot on the TV Broadcast Standard Sony Digibeta and used the Steadicam Archer. Only in the edit was the footage degraded and layered with effects to resemble the look and feel of old Super 8mm film stock: scratches, dust, flash frames and burns - This gave the video the very indie and home-movie feeling.

The music video itself is a prime example of how effective a simple premise can often be.
